There are more than 3170 homeless hungry children in Hillsborough County.
The Hillsborough Project fed 140 children at Dover Elementary during the 2013-2014 school year.

Founded in 1950, Dover Elementary is part of the Hillsborough County Public School system. It provides education to students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. Dover Elementary School offers classes in English, math, science, reading, writing and language arts. It also provides special education programs for students with mental and physical disabilities.
The Hillsborough County Public School Board selected Dover as its first ‘kidsPACK’ school because of its large population of children experiencing food insecurity.
As a school, Dover has a high population of students on free/reduce lunch; migrant students, homeless students, head start pre-k students, students w/disabilities, traditional students, and students in need.
