Haines City High School’s Ag Time with Abby PROJECT FILL ‘EM UP

Hello, I’m Abby Crawford, the president of Haines City High School’s FFA chapter.

After attending a leadership conference in Washington D.C. this past summer, I came right home and started thinking of things that I could do in my neighborhood to make a difference. During my research, I found out that my school had 30 registered homeless students enrolled during the 2013-2014 school year. In collaboration with kidsPACK, I created “Ag Time With Abby’s Project Fill ‘Em Up”. Project Fill ‘Em Up is for high school aged students, starting with Haines City High School. After meeting the needs of food insecure students in my high school, I hope to expand Project Fill ‘Em Up into additional high schools in the Polk County area.
